Interview With Billing And Accounts Manager Gill Murray
WO: Tell us a bit about yourself?
GM: I grew up in Darwen, Lancashire but moved to nearby Accrington in 2008. I have two children aged twenty-one and seven and have been married to my husband Paul for eleven years. During my career I have worked in various accounts roles for the past twenty years within the manufacturing industry. Following being made redundant from a previous employer of seventeen years, I have relished in seeking new challenges to help develop me further.
WO: What is your role and duties at World Options?
GM: I am the Billing and Accounts Manager at World Options, my main duties are overseeing the Billing Team raising all invoices and credits to our customers using our automated system. Ensuring all suppliers invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner and assisting our Financial Controller, Jade Schofield in some of the accounting processes.
WO: What has been your experience so far of working at World Options?
GM: There is a friendly, family feel throughout and I was made to feel extremely welcome. It is very different from working in a manufacturing company and there has been a lot to learn with the bespoke systems and Portal. Although I have only been with World Options for a short time I am enjoying the whole experience.
WO: Do you have any advice or tips you would like to share with franchisees in regards to Billings/Accounts/Invoices, etc?
GM: Making sure their customers are using the portal correctly and getting accurate quotes by using correct weights and dimensions.
WO: What is your Favorite Holiday?
GM: My favourite holiday has to be the one I have just returned from Orlando, Florida, visiting Disney and Universal Studios. Seeing the look on my little boys face when he saw Mickey Mouse and meeting Spiderman was priceless. My Sister lives in Gibraltar so it is always good to have a cheeky trip visiting her to.
WO: Hobbies?
GM: I enjoy spending time with my family and going for days out to the seaside, Lytham, Blackpool and Cleveleys are our favourite haunts. Nothing better than fish chips and a 2p machine. I also enjoy crocheting and meeting up with friends.
