How The Franchise Training Works?
What Does The Training Involve?
The training shows you how to find and manage your business customers, helps you understand the carrier industry, and teaches you our online systems.
You’ll then be paired with a dedicated mentor from our franchise development team, who will support and guide you as you grow your business.
You’ll also be invited to regular training updates and World Options events throughout the year to help you become an even better franchise business owner.
How Many Days Does The Training Last?
Four days. Every day has a different focus allowing franchisees to fully immerse themselves into every aspect of running a courier delivery franchise.
Where Is The Training Held?
Initial classroom training is held at World Options Australia—Mount Waverley, Victoria. If franchisees prefer, training may also be available via video call with our World Options franchise team.
Who Conducts The Training?
The World Options Australia franchise owners, Malcolm Rees and Andrew Stewart, conduct the training.
How Is The Training Delivered?
Face-to-face training allows franchisees to interact directly with the trainer and other franchisees in a supportive, judgement-free environment. It’s also a chance to meet different parts of the World Options team, ask questions, and get into the practical detail of running a franchise — building both preparation and a professional network from day one.
How Difficult Is The Training? Is The Training Hard To Understand?
The training is easy to follow and supported by examples, videos and images. Questions are welcome throughout, and a detailed training manual means you’ll be ready to run your franchise with confidence.
Does Someone Need Previous Experience In The Logistics Industry?
No. Training is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of experience.
Can Someone Refer Back To The Training Once It’s Been Completed?
Yes. Franchisees can access all training documents and materials in World Options’ cloud-based operations manual, which is regularly updated with the latest industry and business changes — for example, when a carrier updates their services or pricing.
Is There Support After Training Finishes?
Yes. Most questions arise in the first few months of running a franchise, which is why franchisees are paired with a dedicated mentor to help with sales strategies and queries during this period.
Beyond that, the World Options customer service team remains available to help resolve any issues with couriers or customers — whenever support is needed, someone from World Options head office is ready to help.
Our customer service team
You’ll be supported by our Customer Service team, who bring industry expertise to assist you and your customers whenever needed. Our centralised billing system means you don’t need to worry about invoicing customers or collecting payments — our Accounts team handles that, so you can focus on building relationships with your customers and growing your franchise.
A Real Example: Keeping New Customers Moving
One thing that makes World Options Australia’s training practical rather than theoretical is our 7 Steps to Shipping process — a structured follow-up system franchisees use to help a newly signed customer complete their first shipment. It covers exactly when to call, when to email, when to visit in person, and what incentives to offer at each stage over an 18-day window, with a final follow-up 30 days later if needed. It’s a genuine example of the kind of hands-on, practical system you’ll be trained on and supported with as a franchisee.
