Interview With Franchisee Ryan Wilkinson

WO: Tell us about yourself?

RW: I’m a Scouser born and bred with Irish Roots. I was born just metres away from Everton Football Club in the Walton area of Liverpool. I went to Holy Family High School based in Thornton, Liverpool and decided to then miss out on any further education moving forward. Education really wasn’t really my thing.

I went straight to work at sixteen and did any job I could to earn my pennies and live life to the fullest without any responsibilities. Throughout my working life I have worked as a Milkman, a Taxi driver, within a Bank, British Telecom and of course, in logistics.

**WO: How did you learn about the franchise opportunities that World Options offers?**
RW: I was on paternity leave from my previous employer Kuehne + Nagel so I decided to have a look at what was available in terms of achieving greatness for myself rather than within a corporate environment where you are just a number. Best thing I did!
**WO: What was it that attracted you in wanting to buy a World Options franchise?**
RW: Flexibility in the main however I had other interests such as wanting to learn further and dabble in the parcel market.
**WO: How did you find the process of purchasing a World Options franchise to be like?**
RW: Simple if I am honest. It all happened so quickly for me, I was suddenly, a business owner and didn’t realise it almost! The hard work began from day one.

**WO: What do you feel is the key to being a successful franchise owner?**
RW: Determination, knowing your customers, knowledge, loyalty, and most of all honesty. In this game, people buy from people. Of course, you must have a good product to sell and in World Options we have a product, however, it’s the relationships in business that get you where you are.
Be the best person you can be, and it’ll always work out just fine.
**WO: What can we expect to see from your franchise in the coming months?**
RW: I am gearing up to try and make myself a top-five franchisee consistently throughout 2023. It’s intense as we have a lot of superb prospects now so let’s hope we can close then.
**WO: Do you have any advice for someone looking to buy a World Options Franchise?**
RW: If you have confidence in your ability then it only comes down to hard work. That will determine whether you succeed or not.
**WO: What is your favourite holiday?**
RW: Ibiza!

WO: What are your Hobbies?

RW: Football, family time and holidays! I wish I had time for more hobbies though.

WO: Who is the most influential person in your life, and why?

RW: My Grandad. He recently passed however it’s unfortunate sometimes because it’s only when you realise the influence they have on your life. Such a hard-working man who painted all his life to serving his number one priority and that was his Family.

I come from quite a poor background in the main, however, I guess it’s the family work ethic that has led to my success. For me, it’s the bare minimum in life!
